Executive Director and Chief Oenologist Our chief oenologist Mr. Dominic Rivard has 14 years of experience in the wine business. He has a passion for wines that is fully expressed in this company. He has been certified as a Sommelier, Wine Judge and has studied Oenology at the University level (UC Davis, California). He has achieved the Diploma of the WSET from London, UK and is now undergoing fellowship of the Master of Wine. He has been actively involved in many facets of the wine industry including winemaking, wine product design and development, wine marketing and promotion, wine brokering, winery design and set-up, and consulting services to government agencies for industry legislation development. He has also been a speaker on the subject of winemaking and wine marketing at various symposiums throughout the world. Over the last decade, Dominic has been busy running numerous wine production and exportation projects for wineries in Canada, USA, Taiwan, Chile as well as China where he was Chief Winemaker and R&D Manager for Tonghua Winery, the fourth largest winery in Asia, located in North East China. Dominic has won hundreds of awards and medals in national and international wine competitions. This has included the best desert wine in Canada in 2007 and various best of show awards in fruit wine and desert wine categories. With his team, Dominic regularly visits the New World boutique Wineries Oeno Wines represents to ensure the highest standards of winemaking are applied for the making of wines with character, intensity of flavor, and bouquet that are of value to our customers. Executive Director Mr. Germain Bergeron has a degree in Chemical Engineering and is also a graduate from the Asia Pacific Management Program in British Columbia, Canada, a two-year graduate program focusing on the Asia Pacific Region. He has over 15 years of experience in Product Management and Business Development including the last 10 years working in the Asia Pacific Region. He is Fluent in English, French, Thai, and basic Chinese (mandarin). Germain brings with him a wealth of experience in the food and beverage sector combined with an insatiable interest for the wine industry.
